SOSsitter was created by Paulina Podgorska, a single mom who found it very difficult to find a suitable nanny and then a babysitter for her son. Quick to notice that many families were experiencing the same frustrations, she felt there had to be a better way to find suitable caregivers. She decided to set up a service helping families to find local, expereinced caregivers rapidly and with no hassle. SOSsitter was born.

SOSsitter provides a link between families looking for nannies, babysitters, senior caregivers, special needs caregivers, pet sitters and house keepers offering their services on a occasional or regular bases, live-in or live-out, during school year or summer, at various rates.

We are not a staffing agency and we do not select sitters for you. Rather, we leave it to each family to do its own selection following a simple concept - each family knows what suits them best. SOSsitter's caregivers must be 18, have experience and offer flexible availabilities to fit the modern family's needs. Each has a detailed profile reviewed by one of our Moms, making it simple to find a sitter with the right set of skills and experiences. Contacting caregivers is easy – either post a job offer and have qualified sitters come to you or contact them directly either by phone or email.
